Spec photo project will focus on suicides
You have told us you want to share your stories of loved ones lost to suicide.
Response has been overwhelming to Nicole’s story, a long look at the life, mental illness and suicide of 20-yearold Nicole Patenaude by Spectator columnist Susan Clairmont.
Many of you have contacted us to talk about your relatives and friends who have died by suicide. To keep that conversation going, we’re launching a photo project called Left Behind. Our photojournalists will take portrait photos of those affected by suicide to be published in The Spectator.
WHAT: Left Behind, a Spectator photo project about those left behind by suicide
WHO: Anyone who has lost a friend or relative to suicide
WHEN: Aug. 2, 1-3 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.; Aug. 3, 6-9 p.m.
WHERE: The Spectator auditorium, 44 Frid St.
BRING: A photo of the person you have lost to suicide, something that belonged to them and a 50-word caption that should include the name of the person, their age and the significance of the item that belonged to them.
