Po­lice be­lieve 2 rob­beries in­volved same per­pe­tra­tors

Hamil­ton po­lice are ask­ing the pub­lic for help iden­ti­fy­ing two men wanted in con­nec­tion with two street rob­beries in An­caster and on Hamil­ton Moun­tain.

On Mon­day around 11 p.m., two men in a dark-coloured ve­hi­cle ap­proached a vic­tim in the area of South­bend Road and West 4th Street, al­legedly threat­en­ing him and rob­bing him of his sun­glasses.

Less than two hours later, around 12:30 a.m. Tues­day, po­lice be­lieve the same two men ap­proached an­other vic­tim near Stone­henge Drive and Joshua Av­enue, threat­ened him and stole his back­pack and head­phones, be­fore flee­ing in a dark-coloured ve­hi­cle.

In both rob­beries, one of the men said he had a con­cealed weapon, but no weapon was seen.

The first sus­pect is de­scribed as be­ing six-foot, 17 to 20 years old, with a “medium com­plex­ion” and wear­ing a grey hoodie with black patches.

The sec­ond sus­pect is de­scribed as black, six-foot-two, with a thin build and curly black hair, wear­ing a grey hoodie with black patches.
