Carlisle artist finishes watercolour homage
Niki Kingsmill has wrapped up her Canada 150 project — Paint My Canada.
Kingsmill received submissions from more than 300 people who sent her their favourite photos from travels throughout Canada.
She selected her favourite 13 images — one for each province and territory — and made watercolour paintings from them.
One cityscape represents Ontario: an image of the annual Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto.
The remaining 12 paintings are landscapes unique to the province they represent.
The winning entrants received watercolour prints of their selected image.
