Embrace and celebrate diversity

RE: Hateful package outside Canadian values (Aug. 1)

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION -

Regarding this letter, the writer believes Justin Trudeau contradicts himself when he is quoted saying “the challenge is to focus on people’s similarities and not their differences.” Different from what Trudeau has said in the past with the words “we should, as Canadians, celebrate and relish our diversity.”

I am not the biggest fan of Trudeau’s but I think I may know where he is coming from with that statement. To add another quote, this from the American author Tom Robbins, “Our similarities bring us to a common ground; our differences allow us to be fascinated by each other.”

Embrace our similarities celebrate our diversity we are all in this together. David Avery, Hamilton
