New Jo Brant is state of the art

RE: New Joseph Brant Hospital

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION -

I toured the new hospital on a recent evening and it is state of the art in every way. Everyone involved should be highly praised for their accomplishment bringing this multimillion dollar undertaking in on schedule.

In contrast to the progress of the new hospital is the new GO station on Fairview Street. It is in the area on 4 ½ years behind completion and I do not have figures on the cost of that project but am sure it’s nowhere near the cost of the hospital project.

What is wrong with our Ontario politicians that they cannot get contractors to complete projects on budget and on schedule? I further understand that our government is still using the same contractor for other government approved jobs. Why?

Kudos to Joseph Brant staff and contractors for a job well done. Bill Kemp, Burlington
