Finding inspiration for different reasons

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION -

RE: My Catholic conversion and things that followed (Aug. 5)

Spectator columnist Deirdre Pike says she has found role models and a sense of social justice after being baptized into the Catholic Church.

I too have found role models and a profound sense of social justice.

Epitomizing both of these estimable qualities for me is former Boston Globe Editor Walter V. Robinson. Robinson personally accepted the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for Public service on behalf of the Globe for the Spotlight investigation he led into the Roman Catholic clergy sexual abuse scandal.

Isn’t it ironic, don’t you think? Phil Beard, Dundas
