Americans must speak up

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION - RE: Las Vegas shootings

The United States is a nation that has a proud history of helping other nations in need around the world. America was called the Arsenal of Democracy by FDR and played a most significant part in the Allied victory in the Second World War. Americans have placed men on the moon, sent probes to the far reaches of our galaxy and have helped conquer disease on our planet. Yet, Americans still have not been able to control the relative ease to the access of firearms which has lead to another horrific loss of life. It is finally time that all Americans speak up and finally say, enough is enough! It is time for those who legally own firearms to work with their government leaders and the NRA to develop laws that limit or stop the relative ease to own these weapons of mass murder. If the Founding Fathers who wrote the American Constitution were around today, they would be in tears and scream for immediate action after seeing what has occurred in the nation they proudly created.
