Six Na­tions man beaten with brass knuck­les

OHSWEKEN — A 43-year-old Six Na­tions man is re­cov­er­ing in hospi­tal af­ter he was beaten with brass knuck­les and robbed.

Six Na­tions Po­lice found the man cov­ered in blood ly­ing in the snow out­side a home on Moc­casin Trail at 7:50 a.m. on Jan. 6.

He was taken to hospi­tal where he un­der­went surgery, po­lice said in a news re­lease Fri­day.

Po­lice say he and an­other man had been in the home be­fore the al­leged as­sault.

The ac­cused al­legedly used brass knuck­les to beat the man when he fell asleep and stole money from him.

On Fri­day, po­lice ar­rested Michael Shane Jamieson, 31, of Ohsweken. He faces charges of rob­bery, ag­gra­vated as­sault, pos­ses­sion of a pro­hib­ited weapon and breach of pro­ba­tion. He was ex­pected to ap­pear in court Satur­day. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion about the al­leged as­sault and rob­bery is asked to call Six Na­tions Po­lice at 519-445-2811.
