October 11, 1937 - February 12, 2018 Earle passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018 with his family by his side at St. Peter’s Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario, in his 81st year. Predecease­d by his loving wife Betty (nee Robertson). Much loved father to his children, Scott, Ian (Kelly), Debley (Scott) and Cindy (Kirk). Cherished grandfathe­r to Liana, Brittany, Sean, Dylan, Shannon, Elyssa, Nicole and Kyle. Lovingly remembered by his brother, Don Phillips and his family in Thorndale, Ontario. Predecease­d by his sister Carolyn Bilyea and his daughter-inlaw Theresa. Earle will be dearly missed by his loving companion, Gabriele Klimstra and fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends. Earle was a teacher and Vice Principal in Hamilton and Halton before retiring in 1991. He was also a long time member of the Canadian and Ontario Orienteeri­ng Federation­s and HKF. Earle was an avid runner, most recently completing a 10k run in November. When not running, he loved to spend his days fishing at his cottage on Lake Shawanaga. Family and close friends are invited to a visitation to celebrate Earle’s life to be held on March 3, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. at Southcote 53 Tap and Grill, 534 Garner Rd. East, Ancaster, Ontario. Donations to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciate­d by the family.
