Charter protects our rights

RE: LIBERAL VALUES TESTS A THREAT (APRIL 4)

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms protects the rights of the individual. That is why religious dogma is not the rule of the land. The Charter does not “trample” your rights to believe what you choose. Feel free to go to church, a synagogue, mosque or a clearing in a forest to worship. That is your right.

The federal government follows the Charter, upholding your rights. My rights. Therefore, if a group of people apply for a federal grant, they must adhere to the Charter. If a religious belief disregards the right of a woman to choose, no federal funding. If a pro-life group wants money to hire people to harass women going into clinics, no funding. If a group wants money to be used in any way that infringes on any individual’s Charter of Rights, no funding. It is very simple. Tax money paid by all should not be used to “trample” the rights of anyone. Feel free to get your funding from like-minded sources.
