Instacart launches in Hamilton
Hamilton residents can now have groceries delivered to their door steps through Instacart.
As of May 16, Hamiltonians can order from a local Fortinos and receive their delivery on the same day — sometimes within one hour.
Service areas include East Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Winona and Ancaster. This follows the initial launch of the partnership between Instacart and Loblaws Companies Limited in Toronto last December.
When orders cost more than $35, the delivery charge is $3.99. There is also a monthly membership for $9.99 and a yearly membership that costs $99 and provides unlimited, same-day delivery on orders of $35 or more. Instacart was founded in 2012 in San Francisco by Apoorva Mehta, who grew up in Hamilton.
