Thanks to Trudeau, we get Ford

The Hamilton Spectator - - Comment -

Readers should be flooding the letters column. Doug Ford is the poster boy for changing the first-past-the-post electoral system.

We can thank Justin Trudeau for this insult on democracy. Doug Ford was not voted in by a majority.

Judge Belobaba gave a ruling that was well thought out. When one considers that the GTA is larger than some European countries, using the notwithstanding clause is an insult to the reasoning of the clause in the first place.

It is opening the floodgates, simple as that. We are a democracy — this is an assault on our system of governance.
