What’s a realistic trade you’d like your team to make?

The Hockey News - - Your Say -

Flyers trade Sean Couturier and Samuel Morin for Matt Duchene, who can play left wing with Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek or center the second line. Colorado gets a shutdown center to play behind Nathan MacKinnon and Morin could be the shutdown defenseman to play with Tyson Barrie in the future. – Bill Roark

Tyler Johnson for Ryan Ellis. Straight-up hockey trade. Preds need offense and have a surplus of ‘D.’ Ryan Johansen and Johnson as a 1-2 punch at center makes sense. So why not? – @6DeAndre3000

Cory Schneider and a fourthround pick for Nikolaj Ehlers and Jacob Trouba. Winnipeg should be a playoff team now and they get the goalie they desperately need. New Jersey gets two skilled young players to substantially help their rebuild. – Kris Swantko

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for Jaccob Slavin. Win-win for both teams. ‘RNH’ is miscast in Edmonton and could excel in a top-six role in Carolina. Slavin fits in well with the style the Oilers like to play and he could quarterback their second power-play unit behind Oscar Klefbom. Carolina needs help in their top-six and they already have several good, young blueline studs. – Kurt Osterheldt

Sami Vatanen and a second-round pick plus a low-end ‘D’ prospect for Jonathan Drouin and a third-rounder. – @AH_Maxy

Oilers trade a third-round pick for Eddie Lack. Oilers need a backup, and Lack is being pushed out of Carolina due to the Scott Darling trade. I watched Lack in Vancouver during 2013-14 when Roberto Luongo was moved, and he took over the starting job and played well considering how bad the team was that year. Sure, his numbers are down the past few seasons, but he definitely has it in him to be a good backup in a better system. – Ben Bruschinsky

Vancouver should trade Nikita Tryamkin to Dallas for Valeri Nichushkin. It would fulfill the needs for both franchises. The Canucks are in desperate need of talented young forwards, which would give Nichushkin a reason to leave the KHL. The Stars can afford to wait for Tryamkin’s return to the NHL. Once he joins their blueline, the Stars will have a solid top-four defense corps for many years. – Tommy Spence

James van Riemsdyk for Matt Dumba. The epansion draft will force Minnesota to trade a D-man and they get value for Dumba in ‘JVR.’ – @the_joecool

Boston trades Ryan Spooner and Matt Beleskey to Vegas for a sixthround pick. Vegas gets a young center with offensive upside and a third- or fourth-line energy guy. GM Don Sweeney gets out from underneath a contract mistake. He bites the bullet here and gets virtually nothing for a young asset, but opens up cap space. – Joe Bond Shea Weber for P.K. Subban. – @Jeff_Alfieri
