DETROIT BELLE TIRE | 2016-17
The Belle Tire program in Detroit has produced NHLers such as Torey Krug, Dylan Larkin and Zach Werenski, but last year one of the players produced something for Belle Tire itself.
A.J. Wolfe, captain of the Belle Tire major midget squad, designed a jersey for the team, putting the Belle Tire mascot front and center. The program is named after a prominent Michigan tire company, and while corporate logos on jerseys is a thorny issue, it works in this case because the little guy has a fun, old-school vibe. In terms of the rest of the sweater, the main stripe behind the crest is solid and simple, while Wolfe kept the program’s script logo on the shoulder. – RYAN KENNEDY
