Jersey HOUND

The Hockey News - - BUZZ - – RYAN KENNEDY

WHILE AHL TEAMS are a source of pride for the cities they represent, they’re also strongly linked to the NHL clubs for which they develop players (a mission that can even supercede winning, in some cases). So it’s always fun when the AHL squad takes its uniform cues from the parent.

The Belleville Senators are a brand-new affiliate for Ottawa, and for their inaugural jersey, they’ve taken the classic throwback look of the NHL team and replaced the ‘O’ with a ‘B.’ I never understood Ottawa’s worry about the ‘O’ being mistaken for a zero. It's a sharp sweater the Sens should wear more often. Now Belleville can rock a derivation of it with pride.
