With their trip to the Stan­ley Cup fi­nal last year, the Preda­tors flexed their mus­cles on and off the ice and es­tab­lished them­selves as a le­git­i­mate longterm con­tender. Af­ter years of be­ing a love­able un­der­dog, the Preds now have a ma­jor amount of swag­ger. Yes, there will be a tar­get on their backs, but there is noth­ing in the play­offs they haven’t seen be­fore, and they’ll en­ter ev­ery se­ries in the West se­cure in the knowl­edge that they are the bet­ter team. Nash­ville is the top team in the league’s tough­est and most com­pet­i­tive di­vi­sion.
