DEFENSIVE PLAY

BYFUGLIEN IS ALL OVER the ice in the defensive zone, but he is active, aggressive and physical. Letang is smart but appears non-committed and often is poking with one hand on his stick. He has more mobility defending the line rush, but this season he keeps backing into the defensive zone. Byfuglien has decent mobility but relies more on his long reach, physical strength and a long stick to force attackers to the boards.
