A RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) Program check which stopped 57 vehicles Tuesday night resulted in a few charges. Officers checked cars on Old Highway 2 at Mitchell Road. One motorist was charged with having open alcohol. He was required to provide a breath sample and passed the roadside screening. Another motorist was driving with a G1 licence, but failed to have another licenced driver in the vehicle with him which is a violation. He was charged and the vehicle was towed from the scene. Another motorist had a small amount of marijuana in their possession. The marijuana was seized but there were no charges laid.
