Im­paired on 401

NA­PA­NEE — A Pick­er­ing man has been charged with im­paired driv­ing af­ter OPP re­sponded to sev­eral calls re­port­ing an er­rat­i­cally driven ve­hi­cle on High­way 401. Of­fi­cers stopped the ve­hi­cle and spoke to the 56-year-old man driv­ing the car. Po­lice ar­rested him and charged him with im­paired oper­a­tion of a motor ve­hi­cle. The man’s li­cence was sus­pended for 90 days and his ve­hi­cle im­pounded for seven days. The driver was re­leased on a prom­ise to ap­pear and has his first ap­pear­ance date in Na­pa­nee court on May 16. The OPP is thank­ing the pub­lic for con­tin­u­ing to call about im­paired driv­ers.
