Driver turns himself in
The driver of a vehicle involved in a fail-to-remain collision earlier this week has turned himself in, police report. On Tuesday night a cyclist was struck on Station Street at Albion Street by a maroon Dodge pick-up truck. The pick-up truck failed to remain at the scene. Wednesday morning a 45-year old Belleville man turned himself in at the police station. He was charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident. The man is scheduled to appear in court on October 12. The cyclist was treated for his injuries at BGH and released.
