Jason Krell

PRINCIPAL

The Kids Post - - Registry of Educators -

As Principal of The Study Academy, Jason Krell has a very hands-on approach to the way he operates on a daily basis. At the start of each day, new teaching strategies for individual students are discussed with school founder and Director of Student and Family Support, Bryan Levy-Young. These are then followed up with program planning, discussions with teachers, and providing updates to parents on various programs and community involvements. Krell is driven to find the best teaching strategy for his students, considering the different needs each individual has. “Research shows that students, all students, are capable of transformative change and I am deeply motivated to develop and implement strategies that fuel that change.” One such example is a former student who had been diagnosed with Dyslexia and had underperformed in traditional classroom settings. When she was exposed to the personalized approach offered at The Study Academy, her results improved dramatically. For Krell, teaching is an ongoing learning experience. “I am driven to challenge assumptions about educational models,” he says. “This means asking questions about the effectiveness of programs, teaching methods, and even the classroom environment and having the commitment to revise those

beliefs.”
