BANNOCKBURN SCHOOL

The Kids Post - - Registry of Educators - MEG KAHNERT HEAD OF SCHOOL

Meg Kahnert attended Montessori school as a child, and it’s always been a part of her. You could even say that it motivated her to become an educator. “It is my belief that children should love coming to school and that their natural curiosity and love of learning can be life-long characteristics,” Kahnert says. After teaching for more than 15 years, she has now been in administration for over 10 years. “I enjoy greeting all the students each morning, and it is a joy to watch their eagerness as they enter their classrooms,” she says. “I am very proud to be the Head of School at Bannockburn, and it is a privilege to work with such an exceptional group of educators.” Several years ago, an alumnus had returned to speak with the graduating class and attributed her success as a student to her years in Montessori. She attributed her belief that anything was possible and her desire to make a difference in the world to her teacher. Meg Kahnert was that teacher. “Each day I come to school believing that my actions and interactions contribute to the wonderful community at Bannockburn. It is the role of the educator to truly know each student at any given time and work tirelessly to ensure they are reaching their full potential both as students and individuals.”
