Naythan Cluney go­ing to trial

A lo­cal man who was sen­tenced in 2013 to two years less a day for his role in a drunk driv­ing death is go­ing to trial again on more drunk driv­ing charges.

Naythan Allen Cluney, 28, was ar­rested by Happy Val­ley-Goose Bay RCMP on April 7, 2018, for al­legedly driv­ing a truck while un­der the in­flu­ence of al­co­hol and was sub­se­quently charged. He pleaded not guilty in court last week and has a trial sched­uled for Jan­uary 24, 2019, in Happy Val­ley-Goose Bay pro­vin­cial court.

Cluney was sen­tenced to two years less a day jail time for im­paired driv­ing caus­ing death in 2013.
