Investigation fails to determine cause of fire

The Labradorian - - News -

The cause of an early morning fire at a residence on Matshateu Street in Sheshatshiu on Oct. 20 has not been determined.

The Office of the Fire Commissioner has completed its investigation into the blaze, according to a release from the RCMP.

The Sheshatshiu RCMP, Sheshatshiu Fire Department and the neighbouring North West River Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the scene.

The fire progressed rapidly and the residence was fully engulfed in flames when police arrived, the release indicated.

No one was in the residence at the time.
