Six­teen or­ga­ni­za­tions have been given $22,535 by the city for 2013 spe­cial events.

The spe­cial events eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment part­ner­ship fund sec­ond in­take re­port was tabled at the Tues­day, June 11 city coun­cil meet­ing.

The suc­cess­ful ap­pli­cants are: the Cobo­conk Fresh Wa­ter Sum­mit $4,430; Com­mu­nity Liv­ing Kawartha Lakes $200; Fenelon Falls and Dis­trict Li­ons Club $650; Gam­ing Na­ture Cen­tre $2,000; Her­itage Vic­to­ria Com­mit­tee of Coun­cil $2,500; Kawartha Arts Fes­ti­val $2,275; Kawartha Lakes Fly­ing Club $860; Kawartha Lakes Trans Canada Trail As­so­ci­a­tion $1,180; Kawartha Re­gion Arts and Her­itage So­ci­ety $580 and $810 (sep­a­rate events); Lind­say and Dis­trict Cham­ber of Com­merce and A Place Called Home $1,000; Lind­say Rugby Foot­ball Team $1,900; Nor­land Com­mu­nity Cen­tre Fundrais­ing Com­mit­tee $750; Nor­land Fes­ti­val Com­mit­tee $$575; Sta­tion Gallery Co­op­er­a­tive $325; Vic­to­ria Coun­try Stu­dio Tour $2,500.
