St. John Ambulance says thanks for support
St. John Ambulance, Kawartha branch held its’ annual “Band- Aid Day” fundraiser at various locations in Lindsay on May 31 and June 1, in Fenelon Falls on May 30, 31 and June 1 and in Little Britain on June 1.
St. John Ambulance volunteers and staff would like to say thank you to the community for its generous support. This year we raised more than $1,500. This fundraiser helps St. John Ambulance to raise awareness of our organization and the services we provide to the community. The monies raised help to support our programs.
The community service unit volunteers provide first aid services at public events such as fairs, sporting events, and parades. Therapy dog volunteers visit the sick and the elderly in hospitals and retirement facilities and children are encouraged to read with the Read to the Dog program at local libraries. St. John Ambulance, Kawartha branch also provides regularly scheduled first aid and CPR training to members of the public and businesses with times available to accommodate your schedule.
