Re: ‘Mayor defends expensing $600 Tory fundraiuser ticket to taxpayers,’ June 11

Mayor Ric McGee defends his charge to City of Kawartha Lakes taxpayers to attend a $ 600 per plate fundraiser for the Peterborough Conser vative Federal Riding Association and MP Dean Del Mastro on May 2. As mayor of all the residents in the City of Kawartha Lakes, will he show the same generosity to our other federal parties? I am curious whether our federal MP, Barr y Devolin attended and tabbed the taxpayers also. MP Del Mastro may have brought the city a considerable amount of money but I admit a concern about his leading the Conservative attack on the CBC as well as his attempt to convince Elections Canada that he followed the spending guidelines in the last federal election.
