White­court RCMP have charged two in re­cent armed rob­bery

On Oc­to­ber 19, 2015, at around 4:45 p.m. a male wear­ing a bal­a­clava en­tered a lo­cal Jew­elry store and threat­ened the store clerks with a firearm. The sus­pect broke a dis­play case and made off with sev­eral pieces of jew­elry. The male sus­pect fled in a wait­ing truck be­ing driven by a sec­ond male. Thanks to sev­eral wit­nesses, the two males were ap­pre­hended a short time later.

RCMP have charged 25 year old, Carl Ger­ard SNOW of White­court and 20 year old, Bradley Di­eter BENDER, of Cher­hill, Al­berta with sev­eral of­fences in­clud­ing:

Rob­bery with a firearm.

Pos­ses­sion of a pro­hib­ited firearm.

Dis­guised while com­mit­ting an of­fence.

Pos­ses­sion of a stolen ve­hi­cle.

Dan­ger­ous driv­ing.

Op­er­a­tion of a mo­tor ve­hi­cle, while be­ing pur­sued by po­lice.

Snow and Bender are cur­rently in cus­tody and are sched­uled to ap­pear in Pro­vin­cial Court on Oc­to­ber 27, 2015.
