Yellowhead County Fire Department Fall 2016 Graduates
Yellowhead County Fire Department’s POC (Paid On-Call) firefighting training program is a rigorous course that ensures new firefighters from all Yellowhead County stations receive consistent training and that all personnel know to respond to dynamic emergency scenes.
On Friday, November 25, 2016, Yellowhead County Fire Department (YCFD) welcomed seven new firefighters to the department.
Congrats to all the new recruits: Danilo Flores
Amanda Turco Salvatore Turco
These firefighters are from various communities across the County and will be stationed at Station 9 (Wildwood), Station 8 (Niton Junction), and Station 12 (Central).
Yellowhead County Mayor Gerald Soroka was in attendance to congratulate the recruits and welcome them to the Yellowhead County Fire Department along with other council members and guests and family members of the graduates.
The next recruit training starts right away and will have these new firefighters graduating this spring. The next recruitment campaign and signup for anyone wanting to join the Yellowhead County will begin late spring and recruits will need to be fully registered by June 2, 2017.
There will be an Open House on April 9, 2017, for anyone interested in joining YCFD but we always welcome a phone call or visit at any fire halls or our main fire department office with any questions you have.
Congrats to all the new recruits! Danilo Flores, Patti Boone, Amanda Turco, Salvatore Turco, Seth Scaife, Jamie Turner and Nathan Wheat.
