Science North sum­mer science camps com­ing to Es­panola

have a child who loves science? reg­is­tra­tion for Science north Sum­mer Science Camps is now open in Es­panola.

The sum­mer science camps will be of­fered in English in Es­panola Aug. 27 - 31 to three age groups in­clud­ing ages four to five, ages six to eight and ages nine to 11.

“We love hav­ing the chance to share our passion for science with kids across north­ern on­tario,” said Cathy Stad­der Wise, se­nior sci­en­tist - Camps and pro­grams at Science north in a press re­lease.

“de­vel­op­ing a pos­i­tive at­ti­tude to­wards science starts at an early age, and we all know how im­por­tant science and tech­nol­ogy are in our ev­ery­day lives,” said Stad­der Wise.

The pro­grams pro­vide a unique blend of hands-on science and fun for chil­dren with new high­lights ev­ery sea­son.

“Through hands - on ac­tiv­i­ties and games, kids will dis­cover and ex­plore the world around them whether the rocks in their back­yard, or mak­ing their best paper air­plane ever.”

Science north of­fers sum­mer science camps to 35 com­mu­ni­ties across north­ern on­tario and has been of­fer­ing the sum­mer pro­grams to chil­dren since 1987.
