Wanted ter­ror­ist Ab­dul­lah Al-Qalaf killed in east­ern Saudi Ara­bia

JED­DAH: Saudi se­cu­rity men shot dead a Saudi na­tional ac­cused of car­ry­ing out a num­ber of ter­ror­ist crimes af­ter he opened fire on them on Mon­day evening. State se­cu­rity au­thor­i­ties were mon­i­tor­ing Ab­dul­lah bin Mirza Ali Al-Qalaf, ac­cord­ing to an of­fi­cial source. The of­fi­cial said Al-Qalaf was found near a farm be­tween the towns of Awamiyah and Qu­dayh in a sil­ver Hyundai Sonata car bear­ing a false li­cense plate. The op­er­a­tion oc­curred dur­ing se­cu­rity mon­i­tor­ing and sur­veil­lance of ter­ror­ist el­e­ments in the town of Awamiyah in Qatif province, the source said. Al-Qalaf re­fused to com­ply when se­cu­rity per­son­nel tried to ar­rest him and he opened fire. Se­cu­rity of­fi­cials were re­quired to deal with him ac­cord­ingly to neu­tral­ize the sit­u­a­tion, and Al-Qalaf was killed. No by­standers or se­cu­rity per­son­nel were in­jured. Saudi se­cu­rity found the fol­low­ing weapons in his car: 1. Kalashnikov sub­ma­chine gun. 2. 9mm glock pis­tol cal­iber 3. 94 ma­chine guns. 4. 14 pis­tol rounds. 5. Anti-flash gear. 6. Equip­ment holder. 7. Mil­i­tary suit. 8. Four face masks. The head of the State Se­cu­rity has con­firmed that they will con­tinue to fol­low these crim­i­nal el­e­ments and will de­ter and pre­vent any­one who breaches se­cu­rity with such ter­ror­ist ac­tiv­i­ties.
