High Com­mis­sioner as­sures full sup­port to Pak­istani Ori­gin Stu­dents in Canada

OT­TAWA, Canada: The High Com­mis­sioner of Pak­istan Tariq Azim Khan has as­sured Pak­istani Ori­gin Stu­dents in Canada of full sup­port for their plan of ac­tiv­i­ties to pro­mote true im­age of Pak­istan in the Cana­dian So­ci­ety. In a meet­ing with a del­e­ga­tion of Pak­istan Stu­dents As­so­ci­a­tion (PSA) Uni­ver­sity of Ot­tawa, Tariq Azim said that Pak­ista­nis stu­dents must avail the life chang­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties of­fered by post­sec­ondary education at the Cana­dian Uni­ver­si­ties. The High Com­mis­sioner said that Pak­istani Ori­gin Stu­dents should ac­tively par­tic­i­pate in lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional events at the Uni­ver­si­ties to pro­mote true per­spec­tive of Pak­istan. Tariq Azim em­pha­sized that it is im­por­tant to ac­tively par­tic­i­pate in the com­mu­ni­ties in which we live, to pro­mote good will be­tween our two Coun­tries and pro­mote the pos­i­tive con­tri­bu­tions of Cana­di­ans of Pak­istani ori­gin in our so­ci­ety. The Stu­dents briefed the High Com­mis­sioner on the ac­tiv­i­ties they plan to pro­mote un­der­stand­ing of Pak­istani cul­ture among the Cana­dian and in­ter­na­tional stu­dents of the Uni­ver­sity.
