Busi­ness owner fac­ing drug charges

PIC­TOU – A Westville busi­ness owner will re­turn to Pic­tou pro­vin­cial court next month on charges of drug pos­ses­sion and traf­fick­ing. Peter Alvin DeWolfe, 53, of Mountville is charged with traf­fick­ing a con­trolled sub­stance, pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing and fail­ure to com­ply with a ju­di­cial re­cog­ni­zance in re­la­tion to a search and seizure at a com­mer­cial busi­ness in Westville ear­lier this month. Pic­tou County Street In­te­grated Street Crime En­force­ment Unit, with the as­sis­tance of Westville and Stel­lar­ton po­lice, ex­e­cuted a search war­rant at a com­mer­cial busi­ness lo­ca­tion on Main Street. Westville. Po­lice seized a large quan­tity of mar­i­juana, cannabis de­riv­a­tives and cash. He is also fac­ing mul­ti­ple weapon charges re­lated to an al­leged in­ci­dent on Aug. 31. DeWolfe was re­leased from cus­tody on Thurs­day and re­turn to pro­vin­cial court Oct. 10.
