Business owner facing drug charges
PICTOU – A Westville business owner will return to Pictou provincial court next month on charges of drug possession and trafficking. Peter Alvin DeWolfe, 53, of Mountville is charged with trafficking a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with a judicial recognizance in relation to a search and seizure at a commercial business in Westville earlier this month. Pictou County Street Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of Westville and Stellarton police, executed a search warrant at a commercial business location on Main Street. Westville. Police seized a large quantity of marijuana, cannabis derivatives and cash. He is also facing multiple weapon charges related to an alleged incident on Aug. 31. DeWolfe was released from custody on Thursday and return to provincial court Oct. 10.
