BAR­NEY’S RIVER – H. Cameron Wil­liams, 66, Bar­ney’s River, passed away, Mon­day, Novem­ber 13, 2017, in the Aberdeen Hos­pi­tal, New Glas­gow, sur­rounded by his lov­ing fam­ily.

Born in New Glas­gow, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Dorothy “Dot” (Mur­dock) Wil­liams.

In 1974, Cameron and his brother, Gary, formed C. & G. Wil­liams Bull­doz­ing. In 1978, joined by brother, Eric, they ac­quired Wil­liams Bros. Ltd. and Mill River Truck­ing. In 2014, son Adam and nephew Joel part­nered in the busi­ness. Cameron was an ac­tive mem­ber of Bar­ney’s River Pres­by­te­rian Church; UCT Pic­to­nian Coun­cil; Hud­son’s Lodge No. 77 A.F & A.M., Thor­burn; Phi­lae Tem­ple Shriners; For­est Nova Sco­tia; and Mar­itime Lum­ber Bureau. He was a de­voted fa­ther and grand­fa­ther and loved to sup­port his chil­dren and grand­chil­dren in all of their sports and ac­tiv­i­ties. He took great pride in his draft horses and was a re­cent ex­hibitor at Draft Horse Ex­hi­bi­tions through­out Nova Sco­tia.

He will be sadly missed by his lov­ing wife of 43 years, Co­lene (Ban­ner­man); chil­dren: Alana (Steven) Ma­son, MacLel­lan’s Brook; Adam (Carla), Bar­ney’s River; Andrew (Chris­tine), Lit­tle Har­bour; Elis­a­beth (Marc) Bild­stein, Mount Uni­acke; Lind­say (Gary) Ma­har, MacLel­lan’s Brook; Matthew (Sara), Bar­ney’s River; grand­chil­dren: John, Ly­dia and Natalie Ma­son; Gar­rett, Al­lie and Shanna Wil­liams; Lawrence and Ken­dal Wil­liams; Rus­sell Bild­stein; Faith, Lila and Gary Ma­har; Cameron and Cal­lum Wil­liams; and two more grand­chil­dren due to ar­rive in Jan­uary; brother, Eric (Jean), Bar­ney’s River; sis­ters, Wendy (Robert) Ross, Bar­ney’s River; Shelley (Lawrence) MacDon­ald, Avondale; sis­ter-in-law Jan­ice Wil­liams, Eger­ton; moth­erin-law Nova Ban­ner­man, Bar­ney’s River; broth­ers-in-law Brent (He­len) Ban­ner­man, Antigo­nish; John (Lau­rie) Ban­ner­man, London, On­tario; Blair (Tina) Ban­ner­man, Bar­ney’s River; many aunts, un­cles, nieces, neph­ews and cousins; his faith­ful dog Roscoe and his beloved horses.

He was also pre­de­ceased by in­fant son, Jonathan; brother, Gary and fa­ther-in-law A. Don­ald Ban­ner­man.

The fam­ily will re­ceive vis­i­tors, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thurs­day, Novem­ber 16, 2017, in P. & K. MacDon­ald Funeral Home, New Glas­gow. Hud­son Lodge Ma­sonic Ser­vice will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thurs­day in the funeral home. Funeral ser­vice will be held 11 a.m. Fri­day, Novem­ber 17, 2017, in Bar­ney’s River Pres­by­te­rian Church, Ken­zieville, with Rev. Dr. Ken MacLeod of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment will be in Glen Bard Ceme­tery.
