RIVER JOHN — Ella Mildred Heighton of River John passed away April 12, 2018 in Willow Lodge Tatamagouc­he.

Born March 23, 1937 in Prince Edward Island to Guy and Mabel Smith, she was known in the community for her delicious baked goods, especially her biscuits and pies.

Ella was a devoted member of St. George’s Presbyteri­an Church and a familiar face at C.G. Fulton’s Pharmacy, where she had been employed for many years. With her quiet way and heart full of love, she was always willing to help but preferred to be kept out of the spotlight.

Ella is survived by her husband and best friend, James E. Heighton. She will always be loved and remembered

by her family; children, Heather (Donald), Mabel (Steven), and Ricky (Sandra); grandchild­ren and greatgrand­children, Cory (Jenna, Lochlan), Erinn (Willem), Kaitlyn, Bryce, Tori, Merridith (Nick, Nate, Marcus), and Selena (Brad, Cole ,Addison). Family memorial will be held at a later date.
