East contributed the deuce of hearts but declarer, the sixspot.

East switched to the deuce of diamonds as South topped the queen with the king and continued with a club to the jack. The ace of spades was followed by another for the jack and king as West exited safely with the ten of spades for the queen. Declarer led a club to the king, cashed the ace of hearts, discarding a diamond from dummy, and could claim eleven tricks, N-S +460. The unusual opening lead was selected in search of the heart jack. When East failed to play that card, West knew that declarer held both the ace and jack. South's duck, a Bath Coup, was a good plan. If he wins the ace and a club finesse loses, the heart return will defeat the contract.

South could manage twelve tricks with West holding the king and ten of spades with wide-open play. He wins the ace of hearts to advance the jack of spades for the king and ace. A diamond to the king is followed by a spade to the nine. He continues with king and another club, collecting the queen, to emerge with twelve tricks when clubs are 3-2 and spades divide 3-3.
