Pair arrested for breaking into home
GARDEN OF EDEN, N.S. — Two people from Truro will appear in court to answer charges resulting from a break-in at a Garden of Eden residence in Pictou County.
At approximately 5:50 p.m. Aug. 30, Pictou District RCMP responded to a complaint of a break-and-enter. The caller told police the suspects had left in a vehicle; he was able to provide a vehicle description and licence plate number. RCMP officers located the vehicle driving toward New Glasgow, stopped it and arrested the man and woman inside. A 25-year-old man from Truro faces charges of break and enter, possession of break-In tools and mischief. He was held in custody and appeared in Pictou provincial court Friday where he was remanded until earlier this week. A 24-year-old Truro woman is charged with break and enter and is to appear in Pictou court, Oct. 24. The investigation continues.
