New Glas­gow house fire dis­places three

Three peo­ple were dis­placed by a fire that ex­ten­sively dam­aged an older, two-storey house in New Glas­gow on Sun­day.

The fire was re­ported around noon at 295 Stel­lar­ton Rd.

New Glas­gow Fire Chief Doug Dort says the cause of the fire was de­ter­mined to be ac­ci­den­tal.

Pic­tou County vol­un­teers with the Cana­dian Red Cross have ar­ranged emer­gency lodg­ing, meals, cloth­ing pur­chases and other aid for a cou­ple and their 18-year-old son. There were no in­juries from the fire.
