The Jay Fraser/Joe McLeod Me­mo­rial Shoe and Shine drew a good crowd to Vic­to­ria Park in Westville on Sun­day, Sept. 2. The event was hosted by the Westville Fire and Res­cue Depart­ment

Barry Dunn has been at a lot of car shows in the past, but none drew as much at­ten­tion as this year’s en­try which in­cluded an en­gine he built with plex­i­glass that al­lows peo­ple to see how an en­gine works live. He also had a lawn trac­tor that he put a small-block Chevy V8 en­gine into which in­creased its power from 14 to 250 horse­power. Ian Roy brought his 1928 Oldsmo­bile to the Show and Shine on Sun­day. He’s owned it since 1981. ■
