Why I’m not supporting Houston

The News (New Glasgow) - - OPINION | LETTERS -

To the editor,

There are many reasons why I am not supporting Tim Houston for leader of the Nova Scotia PC Party — the main one being I know Cecil Clarke to be a far better candidate.

Another reason is the fact the Tim Houston campaign has now apparently been caught breaking the party/leadership rules for a fifth time. A fifth time.

Let that sink in for a moment. Now, Tim has been saying all these rule-breaking actions are just mistakes. Five times does not sound like a mistake, it sounds like a strategy.

But let’s say we give him the benefit of the doubt — let’s say his campaign inadvertently broke the rules each time. If that’s true, that means Tim is running the most incompetent leadership campaign in the history of Canada.

Either there’s a lack of ethics, or a lack of competency.

Regardless, they both say the same thing: Tim Houston is not ready to lead.

Fred DeLorey Candidate-of-Record, Central Nova Conservative Party of Canada
