RCMP in­ves­ti­gate armed rob­bery

Pic­tou County Dis­trict RCMP are in­ves­ti­gat­ing an armed rob­bery in the Town of Pic­tou.

Po­lice say about 9:40 p.m. Thurs­day, they re­sponded to a com­plaint of an armed rob­bery at a con­ve­nience store on West River Road in Pic­tou.

Upon at­tend­ing the lo­ca­tion, RCMP con­firmed that a male sus­pect wear­ing a hoodie, a black mask and gloves en­tered the store armed with a knife and de­manded cash from the em­ployee.

The male sus­pect was de­scribed as be­ing just un­der six feet tall, of medium build, in his late 20s to early 30s. The male sus­pect de­parted the store on foot with an undis­closed amount of cash. No­body was in­jured as a re­sult of this in­ci­dent.
