Cause of Cam­lachie house fire un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion

Home en­gulfed in flames when fire­fight­ers ar­rived

Lambton OPP of­fi­cers re­mained on the scene of a Cam­lachie-area house fire Thurs­day morn­ing be­ing in­ves­ti­gated by the On­tario Fire Mar­shal’s of­fice.

Po­lice said in a new re­lease that its of­fi­cers were called out at ap­prox­i­mately 11:45 p.m. Wed­nes­day to a house fire in the 3000 block of Vic­to­ria Street.

The home was en­gulfed in flames when fire­fight­ers with the Plymp­ton-Wy­oming Fire Depart­ment ar­rived.

Po­lice said all of the home’s res­i­dents and the fam­ily pets got out safely.

But there was im­mense fire and wa­ter dam­age to the house and two ve­hi­cles were se­verely dam­aged, po­lice said.
