Wyoming man dead in head-on collision
Crash happened near Tilbury Tuesday morning
A 24-year-old Wyoming man is dead and a 22-year-old Chatham man sustained serious injuries in a head-on crash on Queen’s Line near Tilbury early Tuesday morning.
The Chatham man, who remains in hospital, is expected to recover, stated a media release from the Chatham-Kent Police Service, issued Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the two-vehicle collision between Sinclair Road and the Highway 401 overpass at approximately 6 a.m.
It is not certain at this point whether the foggy conditions played a part in the crash.
“It was foggy this morning, but I think it’s just too early in the investigation to say that it was a factor at this point,” public information officer Const. Kelly Helbin said
The investigation remains ongoing by the traffic management unit.
