“I’m willing to sit and talk, I’m willing to try. I know there’s a lot of needs and wants in this town and I think I would like to head the team to do things and continue on in a way that would be beneficial for the town.”

Town of Bonavista Coun. Beverly Dyke is the latest to announce she will vie for mayor next month in the upcoming municipal election.

While she has been considering running for more than a year now, she decided on Monday, Aug. 14 she would indeed go ahead and make it official.

“I think I’ve got a lot to offer,” Dyke told The Packet. She says one of her biggest attributes is that she loves her town and appreciates the residents.

“I’m willing to sit and talk, I’m willing to try,” she said. “I know there’s a lot of needs and wants in this town and I think I would like to head the team to do things and continue on in a way that would be beneficial for the town.”

Dyke acknowledges there could be tough times ahead in terms of the economy of the province but says she wants to be able to manage what needs to be done for the community
