Man charged with Calvin Tobin’s death appears in Clarenville court
Travis Andrew Firmage of Lethbridge, 31, has been charged with causing the death of Calvin Tobin.
Tobin was killed in a twovehicle accident on the TransCanada Highway just west of Clarenville on Aug. 1.
Tobin was the passenger in a car travelling east. Firmage, who was driving, crossed into the westbound lane, where the vehicle collided with a transport truck.
Firmage is charged with impaired driving in relation to the incident as well as with causing injury to the driver of the transport truck.
Firmage has been released and will return to court in Clarenville Thursday, Aug. 24.
