Man charged in relation to Clarenville taxi robbery appears in court
Anthony Soper appeared in Clarneville court Thursday, Aug. 31, facing charges related to the robbery of a Clarenville taxi driver on Aug. 10.
The Crown has elected to proceed by indictment.
In another charge relating to theft under $5,000, the Crown has elected to proceed summarily, which will reduce the potential sentence or fine if Soper is convicted.
Soper is also facing charges on an unrelated incident being handled in Gander provincial court.
He will appear again in Clarenville court Thursday, Sept. 14 for another election and/or plea day.
He remains in custody.
