April 12 has been set as the nomination day for the town’s very first municipal election.

The election is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, with an advanced poll tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 5.

Gerard Lewis of L.W. Consulting is serving as returning officer.

Lewis, along with Keith Warren, conducted the government-funded feasibility study that was presented to the community in April of 2017.

That study found the most feasible option for George’s Brook-Milton was to become an incorporated municipality.
