Clarenville Lions Club is collecting used eyeglasses and used hearing aids at various locations in Clarenville. These Eyeglasses and Hearing Aids are refurbished and redistributed to people in need throughout the world.

Terra Nova MHA Colin Holloway, on behalf of Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development minister Lisa Dempster, presents a cheque to members of the Ability Employment Corporation (AEC). In addition to the funding announcement for Clarenville Farm and Market on Friday, the ministry also handed out two cheques: a grant of $2,457 to the Farm and Market for a “Happy Carrots” program within the market; and a cheque for the AEC in the amount of $5,792 for a community garden.
