Sign shouldn’ t have been placed on the Cenotaph

-

“In memory of the chivalry of our men and women who fought and died defending humanity against aggression. Their name live th for evermore”

That is the message the recent Black Lives Matter rally decided to cover up with their sign age at their recent rally in Con federation Square in Peter borough. Their sign ,“End the silence, end the violence ,” although temporary should never have even touched the Cenotaph. Covering a war monument up even for a second with your sign age is down right disrespectful.

If you want people to respect your movement, let alone you personally, you have to give respect in the first place, regardless of what it is you are pro testing or speaking about. Kevin Elson, McDonnel St.
