Big Jim wins first Kawartha Downs start

FRASERVILL­E – Cape Cod made her first lifetime start at Kawartha Downs a winning effort Saturday night. The three-year-old gave Nick Boyd a 1:58.4 ride to win the second race in front of a large crowd on the warm summer night. The filly is trained by James (Friday) Dean who also trained her sire, Big Jim, a winner of $1.5 million during his racing career.
